Through partnerships with organizations across the state, Georgia’s public libraries provide families with educational and recreational opportunities to spend time together while saving money.

Zoo Atlanta
Family Pass

Zoo admission, including Library Pass admission, does not include parking. The Cherokee Avenue parking lot and Grant Park Gateway on Boulevard are the property of the City of Atlanta. Visit the Getting Here page for tips and info.

Where do I get the Zoo Atlanta Library Pass?

The pass is only valid Monday through Friday excluding blackout dates* and is valid for three general admissions.

Blackout dates are:

  • April 4-8
  • May 30
  • July 4
  • September 5
  • October 10
  • November 24
  • December 25
You must visit your local public library to obtain the Zoo Atlanta Library Pass.

Adults with a valid library card from any branch of a participating public library system throughout the state of Georgia** may access the Zoo Atlanta Library Pass. One pass is available for checkout at each participating branch and may be checked out once per year, per household. **excluding the Auburn Avenue Research Library in Atlanta.

How do I use the Zoo Atlanta Library Pass?

  • Check out the Zoo Atlanta Library Pass DVD at your local library. (No self-checkout; DVD must be checked out at the library front desk.) When you return the DVD to your library, you will receive a Library Pass voucher. Please save this voucher; it is required for Zoo admission. The voucher is valid for four weeks from the date of the voucher showing the return of the DVD. Present your Zoo Atlanta Library Pass voucher and your library card at the Zoo Atlanta front gate for admission.
  • Pass is valid for up to three guests; standard general admission will apply to families larger than three. The pass is valid for general admission only and may not be used for fee-based events or programs. Not valid with any other discount, offer or promotion; may not be redeemed for cash.
  • Zoo admission, including Library Pass admission, does not include parking.
  • If the DVD is lost or damaged, a $30 replacement fee will be charged by the library system. Overdue fines will be charged for late returns.

Center for Puppetry Arts
Pass Loan Program

**Please note that the Center is using Time Ticketing. When using the Passport, patrons MUST call the center first to set up a date and time for admission. They are following typical COVID-19 safety protocols. Please call 404.873.3391 or visit puppet.org for more information regarding admission and safety regulations.**

  • The Passport to Puppetry admits four (4) people to the World of Puppetry Museum OR a patron can receive a 25% discount on an All-Inclusive Ticket. By using the code LIBRARY, patrons may pre-purchase their All-Inclusive ticket online in advance of their visit at www.puppet.org/buy-tickets.
  • An All-Inclusive ticket is for one (1) person and includes: a Family Series Performance, a Create-A-Puppet Workshop, and the admission to the Museum.
  • The Passport to Puppetry has a circulation period of seven (7) days.
  • The Passport to Puppetry may be renewed once.
Chattahoochee Nature Center
Family Pass

When checked out and taken to the CNC, the Family Pass is good for four (4) free admissions to the Center.

The Family Pass is for general admission only, and is not valid for special events or exhibits.

The Family Pass has a circulation period of seven (7) days.

The Family Pass may be renewed once.

**UPDATE for COVID-19**

  • Until further notice CNC Family Pass holders must call in advance to reserve a date and time for their visit. If a group exceeds the four people covered by the pass, they must purchase any extra tickets online prior to arriving at CNC. They are not able to accommodate walk ups.
  • Reservations are available for visits occurring Mondays – Wednesdays at this time. Patrons need to call 770-992-2055 x 238 or email cnc.admissions@chattnaturecenter.org to make a reservation, allowing up to three business days for requests to be processed.
  • Patrons need to be prepared with several options for a requested date/time for their visit. Visits are not confirmed until they have received email confirmation.
  • Their limited, timed admission system will not only provide for an intimate experience on the property, but also allow the CNC to reduce person to person contact and better maintain social distancing throughout the admissions process.
  • If patrons plan to visit between June 6th and August 2nd, the 30 minute window after their arrival is also their designated time window to visit the Butterfly Encounter exhibit.
  • Patrons need to allow themselves time to arrive for their selected time slot.
  • Patrons NEED to bring the CNC Family Pass they checked out from your library as well as a photo ID to the Center on the day of their visit.

Georgia Aquarium
Library Discount

Public libraries in Georgia receive a special discount to the Georgia Aquarium. The Aquarium does offer some discounts of its own, but the Library Discount is available at all times. The Library Discount is obtained by visiting www.georgiaaquarium.org/libraries.
Go Fish Education Center
Family Pass

The Family Pass allows up to four (4) free admissions to the Center.

  • The Family Pass has a circulation period of seven (7) days.
  • The Family Pass may be renewed once.
  • In-system holds are allowed.
The Family Pass may only be checked out by family once every six months. The Center reserves the right to deny entry to patrons who continually check out the Pass.
Macon Museum Pass (Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, Museum of Arts and Sciences, Tubman Museum) Pass Loan
Pass Loan

The Macon Museum Pass admits up to four (4) people to the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, Museum of Arts and Sciences, and Tubman Museum.

  • The Family Pass is for general admission only, and is not valid for special events or exhibits.
  • The Macon Museum Pass has circulation period of seven (7) days.
  • The Macon Museum Pass may be renewed once.
  • In-system holds are allowed.
Michael C. Carlos Museum
Pass Loan

When checked out, the Pass is taken to the Michael C. Carlos Museum on the Emory University campus where it allows up to six (6) free admissions to the museum. Children must be accompanied by parents.

  • The Family Pass is general admission only and cannot be used for other museum offers such as renting the audio tour or special exhibits or special programming.
  • The Family Pass has a circulation period of seven (7) days.
  • The Family Pass may be renewed once.
  • In-system holds are allowed.
Wrapped Up in Reading

During the summer, the Carlos offers “Wrapped Up In Reading.” A reading list and reading diary is available online through the Carlos or GPLS. When a child reads five (5) books from the reading list, they contact the Carlos, schedule a visit, and when they meet with the Director of Education receive a goodie bag of items related to the Carlos exhibits and collections.

The Breman Museum
Family Pass

The Breman Museum Family Pass is available for circulation, but please note their are temporary rules and admission policies in place.

  • The Breman Museum is good for up to four (4) free admissions.
  • The Breman is open on Sundays ONLY from 10 AM to 4 PM.
  • Patrons wishing to visit the museum using the Family Pass MUST make ticket reservations online before visiting the museum.
  • Patrons MUST bring the Family Pass to the Breman Museum to fully redeem your free admission.
  • Please visit www.thebreman.org/Visit/Purchase-Tickets to reserve your place.
  • To reserve your free admissions to the museum, fill out the basic information on the Purchase Tickets page and enter the number of visitors who will accompany you to the Museum in the field titled Third Party Tickets.
Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites
Park Pass

The Park Pass consists of a hanging tag that allows free parking at all of Georgia’s state parks and historic sites as well as the Historic Site Family Pass that allows two (2) free admissions into any of Georgia’s historic sites.

  • The passes have a circulation period of seven (7) days.
  • The passes may be renewed once.
  • In-system holds are allowed.
Discovery Backpack

The Discovery Backpack consists of a backpack with binoculars and three foldout, weatherproof guides: Georgia’s Trees; Georgia’s Wildlife; Georgia’s Trees and Wildflowers.

  • The Discovery Backpack has has a circulation period of seven (7) days.
  • The backpack may be renewed once.
  • In-system holds are allowed.
